Today kicks off the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, so we’re celebrating with an Olympics Edition of The Winning Times! Several sites hosted their own version of the Games in the last few weeks, while others have events coming up in August. Read on to see how RDI paid homage to the global phenomenon!
Nogales' Olympic Events: Foosball, UNO, Smash Bros, and Tug of War
See how Nogales celebrated the Olympics this past month!
Nogales Nation held a huge Olympic tournament this summer, with several events to participate in! The celebration kicked off with a Torch decorating contest to test everyone’s creativity and imagination. Nogales members then dove into a foosball tournament, Super Smash Bros. competition, and UNO game with various prizes for the winners. The Olympic celebration ended with a pool party and tug-of-war competition!
Bonus Event: Hot Dog Eating Contest
Nogales kept the spirit of competition going with a hot dog eating contest!

Ready, set… eat! Earlier this week, Nogales hosted a hot dog eating contest to see who could down the most dogs in 60 minutes. Nine competitors, one from each program, tested their stomachs and willpower by eating as many hot dogs as possible. While most of the competitors tapped out at 7 hot dogs, Juan Escovedo powered through and ate 9 hot dogs to win a $50 Snappy gift card. See the action for yourself in the video above!
Milford's Olympic Events: Table Tennis and Basketball
Who emerged victorious in the Table Tennis and Free Throw Tournament?
Thirty-three members of the Milford Machine went head-to-head in a Table Tennis and Free Throw Tournament on Tuesday, July 23, and only two walked away with trophies in hand! Dustin Cunningham dominated the ping pong table while Warren Raglin ruled the basketball court and scored the most free throws. Great job to all who participated!
