Success tips: Start with developing a positive attitude

Being positive won’t guarantee you’ll succeed, but being negative will guarantee you won’t.

We are all on a learning journey at RDI.  For those of you that are aspiring to become a leader, it can be difficult to navigate.  The first step in becoming a better leader is becoming a better YOU.  Learning to stay positive when surrounded by negativity is a great training ground.

Develop Your Own Positivity

As you develop your own positivity and ability to deal with energy vampires, you will grow as a person and a leader.  You may not be driving the big bus, and deciding who is on it. But you can make your bus great, and let it serve as a model for others.

Becoming A Great Positive Leader

Positivity is one of the key ingredients to becoming a great leader.  Perhaps you are already very optimistic and positive.  Or maybe you’ve been a pessimist and someone who says, “I’m just being realistic.” I’ve said it before,  “Leadership is not just what you do but what you can inspire, encourage, and empower others to do.”

“A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.”
Jim Rohn

There is a Future Waiting to Be Created

Regardless of your circumstances or challenges, there is a future waiting to be created.  You have to decide to take the wheel and drive.  RDI is always looking for leaders.  With your leadership, optimism, belief, and faith, your RDI Family will be there to help you create it.

Life Isn’t Perfect

Things are going to go wrong.  Life isn’t perfect, and neither is RDI.  We have very little control over several aspects of our life like the weather and mechanical issues.  What we do have control over is our attitude, effort, behavior, and actions.

Make the Best of Every Situation

If all you do is focus on the negative, then when do you plan on saving time for the positive things in life?  If you can’t be part of the solution, don’t be part of the problem or even create another one.  Making the best of every situation demonstrates a higher level of character.

Weed Out the Negative

Positive leadership is not just about feeding the positive, but also about weeding out the negative.  As a leader, you must recognize that negativity exists and you can’t ignore it.  One of the biggest mistakes leaders make is that they ignore the negativity within their team and organization.  They allow it to breed and grow, and it eventually sabotages the team and organization.  You must address the negativity.  Confront it, transform it, or remove it.
