TORTILLA CHALLENGE QUARTERFINALS

Match 1 Begins!

The Tortilla Challenge Quarterfinals have arrived after a brief holiday break! The first match brought together two Milford champs, Josh Harris and Josey Gibson—well, almost. Whether from nerves or illness, Josey did not show for this match, so the spirited Kirsten Crissman stepped in to face the slapping storm on her behalf!

The match began with a near-foul from Josh, prompting our referee/host, James Walsh, to step in for a quick etiquette reminder. Unfazed, Kirsten retaliated with a massive slap, setting the tone for a fierce contest. As the match unfolded, laughter became an unexpected weapon, resulting in the first spit, not from a slap but from laughing at one of James’s jokes! After three spits, Kirsten graciously bowed out, and Josh Harris emerged victorious, securing his spot in the semifinals. Congrats, Josh!

The Tortilla Challenge Quarterfinals are officially underway, and we can’t wait to see how the next matches unfold. Stay tuned for more tortilla-slapping action, unexpected twists, and, of course, James Walsh’s trademark commentary!

CANSTRUCTION: COMPLETE ✅

Winners of the final 2023 challenge revealed!

A round of applause, hats off, finger snaps, and more for ALL of our CANstruction teams 👏 🎩 🫰

We are so proud of these teams, and together, we were able to donate over 800 cans! While we think everyone is a winner, our judges had to narrow it down to just three winning teams. Without further ado, the 2023 CANstruction Challenge winners are…

Best CANstruction – Latonia’s ‘Snowbies’ 🏆

Most Cans Collected – True Blue’s ‘Cans for Edie’s Elves’ 🏆

Honorable Mention (Design) – Milford’s ‘Joe CAN Do It’ 🏆

Again, we want to thank every team for participating and for your donations. We loved seeing you work together, create something new, and enjoy the holiday season!

(PS Be sure to jot down any ideas for next year’s CANstruction Challenge to get ahead of the curve 😉)

Meet Kevin Kinebrew!

Kevin is a Junior Marketing Specialist and has been with RDI for just over six months. His love for expressing himself and being creative is what drew him to marketing to begin with. So far, he’s had the opportunity to get his hands on many different projects at RDI and is always looking for ways to further connect with our audience. But we’re here to learn more about Kevin and what he likes beyond his job!

Kevin talks about his love of movies, food, and walking outside (who doesn’t love those three things?) But of all his hobbies and interests, music has his heart. From growing up with his parents’ stellar musical influence to a love for hip hop and R&B, Kevin appreciates a wide range of music and even DJ’ed in college. We wish we could have been to one of his shows!

We are so glad to have Kevin on our team! If you see him at your site in the future, be sure to say hello (or get some music tips 😉)!

A YEAR IN NUMBERS

RDI Highlights from 2023

A new year is upon us, but let’s not forget everything we accomplished together in 2023!

We are so proud to be part of a team that celebrates each other’s wins and supports each other through the hard times, too. These stats barely scratch the surface of what our people have accomplished at work and in their personal lives over the last 12 months. All of YOU are what make RDI great, and we can’t wait to see what we get up to in the new year 👏
